View Full Version : Can the Colt AR .22 "M4 Carbine" be used with dif uppers?

Big5 has a Colt AR .22 for sale for $600. First can the bolt, spring,... be change to be able to shoot .223? Then can different uppers be used with different cal. like regular lowers? Or is the .22 lower made different? Thx

No.

Even if you could, would would need a bullet button or to make it featureless.

Or is the .22 lower made different? ThxThe 'Colt' AR is actually made by Walther for Umarex with the Colt License. It shares next to nothing with a real Colt AR. The Umarex AR is a dedicated 22LR action and barrel with AR plastic over it.

If you want a real AR you'll have to buy one.

I bet a bunch of the California sales for these things is from people that think they are compatible with the ar15 platform...

Airsoft company making a rimfire that looks like a centerfire.......wishful thinking at best.
