I bought a Caspain 1911 frame from my partner at work the other day. It was an oversized frame for gunsmiths. I decided to put it together. So, I fit this frame to a Colt slide I already had. It was a lot of work to fit the frame to the slide. Then I assembled the complete pistol when I received the parts from the Brownells. The slide to frame fit is tight, and all the burr was filed off, and some parts were polished. The end result was this:

I shot it yesterday at the range. It was shot at 15 yards with 20 rounds of Remington match ammo. It shot like this:

My eyes are aging and I cannot shoot as well as when I was in my younger years. The pistol is not as pretty as some custom pistols, and the frame needs to be blued. But, this will do for me now. I am happy that it shoots okay.

With limited tool and other equipments, it came out okay.
