That is one fine collection, mtykim. I have the Garand as well as the SVT-40, but no G43.

As for the Garand, I agree, one of the sweetest battle rifles ever produced.

I was wondering if you knew what the "R" on your buttstock of the G43 means.

G43 collectors seemingly can find no proof of what it means. Some say post WWII French use - some say Yugo use and some say Czech use.

Did you get any explanation - dare I dream any proof - of what the "R" means?
