Hey guys-
I want to pick up a yugo parts kit for a DCI receiver. How are those ones from centerfire systems? I want a good condition bore. Other than that, some minor dings or missing blueing doesnt bother me...any photos?

any other current suppliers sending decent yugos out?

Rumor has it centerfire has the junk of the junk, and everyone else just has junk.

There is also this rumor that sometime soon there is supposed to be a shipment of "like new" yugos, which i find hard to believe with the current barrel ban =)

centerfire is going to offer brand new barrel replacement for the yugos but its going to cost $150 and some change. they are going to list it at www.centerfire.com/pam.html sometime in the future. i have a yugo kit and would think about a new barrel but 150 for a barrel when i got the kit for 175... :(

Yugo M70AB2 underfolder receiver from Centerfire Systems, Excellent condition:

These suckers come packed in more cosmo grease than any surplus or parts kit stuff I've seen before. The dishwasher method works well, but I found some additional scrubbing was needed, and then to make sure everything was dry, I put it in the oven at 150'F for 20 minutes.

One kit was from 1986, one from 1992. The 1986 one had some crud in the barrel, but it cleaned out with the boresnake. The 1992 barrel (pictured below) hasn't been cleaned at all, though I guess I should do it.

The kit after cleaning (sans wood, but it looks great with minor scratching)

The 1992 barrel. The 1986 is comparable. (How is it that cameras are able to catch any defect like that? Oh well, the barrel, IMHO, is shiny, slightly used, and has strong rifling throughout)

leelaw,

How long have you had those from centerfire? I was thinking maybe it's batch thing regarding ak kits from certain dealers, you may or may not get junk during certain months depending on the batch they get from their sources.

These arrived this past Monday.

I've recently gotten a number of kits from centerfire that look like arsenal guns that sat on the rack before they got cut up.

They have taken very good care of me and I'll continue to get more stuff from them.
