Correct me if I'm wrong, but I could very well purchase a Dragunov or RPK clone due to the Kings ruling?

(1) All AK series including, but not limited to, the models identified as follows:
(A) Made in China AK, AKM, AKS, AK47, AK47S, 56, 56S, 84S, and 86S.

Don't see anything involving Dragunov or RPK in there! :D

Would the assault features prevent me from getting it? What about just the receiver?

You can get it as long as it has no evil features or just buy a stripped receiver not on the list.

A Dragunov and RPK in standard configurations are banned by SB-23 features.

You would have to have owned them prior to Jan 1, 2000 and registered them with the state.

You could have a dragonov but it needs to have a different rear stock...RPK is fine too with no evil features.

RPK receviers are sold by DCI right now and the dragunovs are kind of hard to find right now...ill looking for some :-)

A Dragunov has a flash hider and a thumbhole stock.

Get rid of the flash hider and add a regular stock as mentioned and it would be 100% legal

Please use the search feature, this topic has been brought up many times before. Also, RPK is IIRC mentioned by name on the list.

Also, good luck finding a for real Dragunov. Only around 100 were ever imported into the US. If you are seeing them online, they are probably PSL/FPK rifle that you are looking at.
