Guys,

If you haven't been to Irvington Arms they deserve a visit and a shot at your business and here are some reasons why...

1.) The owner, Martin (aka BigMac here on CalGuns), is a great guy. He's friendly (imagine that at a gun store), knows the law (again, imagine that), and knows firearms.

2.) The other employee I dealt with (a younger guy) was also friendly and knows his stuff.

3.) They have a good cross-section of firearms...their inventory runs the gamut from bolt-action modern hunting rifles, to military surplus, to modern military/tactical.

4.) They seem to have a good selection and turnover of used guns...and that makes a gun store fun to visit as you never know what you'll see. Last time I was there they had an IBM M1 Carbine priced at a reasonable 475. When I showed back up today interested in buying it...it had of course sold grrrr:p .

5.) Their prices are very reasonable.

6.) They have a nice cool, friendly dog in residence:) .

I travel from Fairfield to do my PPT there because I know it will be a positive experience. While doing the PPT I've also picked up a couple things off the shelf/rack as well. A number 1 shop.

another +1 for Martin. I went in to buy a Vulcan lower a few months before the "unlisted lower" ordeal. Martin refused to sell me the batch that just came in due to manufacturers defects, even though I didn't care. I'm glad he was looking out for me and not for his own pockets. Great guy, no pressure to sell.

I went in today during lunchtime to sign the petition and to window shop. There was definately some good stuff, one was calling out to me. I took the "new" HSC test, it was lamer than the 1st one I took 11 years ago.

nice doggy! :D

Martin did my B.A.R. transfer from back east. Nice guy to deal with. I even picked up a M1 carbine from him. :D

will they do out of state transfers?Yes, and he has a whole list of folks he's already sent his FFL to so you don't have to go down and get a physical copy (oh yeah, you can fax it now).

Anyway, BigMac is great at outta-state transfers.

<geez, I should know>:o

I'm picking up a "plinker" in 9 more days from BigMac, if only ordering a happy meal from McDonalds was as easy. :D

He's a very friendly and personable guy to deal with, along with his mascot.

My workplace is only 15 minutes away....

+1

I did a few gun transfers through them earlier this week and it went smooth. I've bought a few guns from them in the past, and I will continue to be a customer.

Picked up my Glock 34 this afternoon, deal was smooth as butter....

Will purchase other guns and accessories from him in the future.

No worries....
