What's involved legally in a Gas>Diesel conversion on an emissions-controlled vehicle such as an OBD-1 1993 GM S-10?

I'd love to get back into an oil burner.

Jeff,

Any chance you come across a 1HD-FTE?

I'm looking at doing a 100 series LC with this.

Talked to you about doing a Toyota L series swap, but man are those rare!

There any good 2ish liter engines that would be an easy fit with some fabbed mounts? Cummins? VW?

Shady

I had a lot of trouble using bio deisel in my trucks. All 2003-2005 GM duramax.

Shady

hmmm seems weird
I have at least a half dozen customers running bio ( and wvo ) in there Dmax's with zero problems
gm even allows you to use it with the warranty

maybe you bought bad fuel

What about a fellow CGN member discout on a Industrial Injection vp44 lightning pump? But seriously, what could you do on one?

Shady
07-21-2010, 9:33 PM
are you talking about install ?

is it a 12v motor ?

No it's a 2000 24v it has a hot rod pump that just went out. I'm a diesel mechanic I just need the part and I'm looking for some prices to try and get a idea and maybe a deal.

I'm trying to save up to buy a bobbed M35a1 or a2.. What engine do you recommend to replace the multi-fuel LDT-465-1C/D Continental 6cyl diesel engine with? What engine-transmission combinations are possible?

It would have to be able to handle freeway speeds as well as the low speed stuff.

I had a good mechanic in San Bernardino to help work on my 1980's 5.7 GM diesels. I guess he left the business. Do you work on these?

hmm surprised to see a thread like this on calguns. but its definately a good place to start ie: giving business to other calgunners. will definately look you up for my 12v or 24v ctd swap. havent decided if i want it blowing black smoke all day or just when needed.
