Hello I've been asked thi quite a bit myself. generally any long gun more than 50 years old is eligible to be sold from one private individual to another without having to DROS the rifle through a FFL 01 dealer. Some exceptions do exsist. Try posting this Q in the FFL forum for more concrete advice.

Cash and carry means you don't have to do a transfer at an FFL or wait the 10 days. You pay cash and carry it home that day. It's mostly in reference to C&R rifles and shotguns. Anything over 50 years old like Ed mentioned is Cash & Carry.
