If the 3 who abstained would have votes aye, then it would have gone for a full vote. That's my read on it. If an abstaining member were in my district, I'd be sure to voice my desires.

It means that if it passed, we would not have to worry about "unlisted" lowers, fixed magazines, etc. we could just have them like we used to before 1989. Chances of this passing - between slim and none.

AB448 died in committee. The three radical extremist liberals Leno, Cohn, and Goldberg killed it.

I wouldn't expect any help from the abstaining democrats Dymally of Compton and Hancock of El Cerrito. However, I would think that Republican Todd Spitzer of Orange has some explaining to do. Frankly, I'd be embarrassed if I came from Spitzer's district. Nevertheless, the chances of this passing were between slim and nil.

The author pulled the bill before it could be considered (and then killed) by the full Assembly Public Safety Committee.

Why, oh why, do we have nutjobs like Mark Leno and jackie Goldberg on the Public Safety Committee??? mark Leno is worried about figuring out how much child porn someone should have before it's a felony... The man has no business being on any law enforcement-related committee, let alone in the state Assembly in the first place...

Yeah I saw him on B'Oreilly say

"a first offense of child porn should not be a felony" can you believe this moron?" Its quite obvious he doesn't have any children....what a moron.  Bill was astonished by the way. He was like? WTF?

Old news.

It did not, nor ever will, make it out of committee.

This is why Prop 77 (redistricting) was so important.

The only chance attacking it in small pieces (off-list lowers getting registered) and from the top (getting RKBA on the ballot and passing it).
