I searched but coudlnt seem to find what I was looking for. I found the sporting conversions mag lock, my question is do you have to fold the upper receiver off the lower to manually load the rounds like the bushy carbon 15? Sorry if this is a redundant wuestion but I couldnt find out how you load the gun with the fixed mag. thanks

yes, to load you have to break the rifle open just like the bushie, fab10, and vulcan versions.

Remember that if you go this route, without the pistol grip, then you can't have any evil features on it. So be careful with the stocks, flashiders, forward pistol grips, etc...

So if I ordered the sporting conversions kit for 15 dollars that is all I need? What do you push to make the receiver fold?

Several years ago someone wrote the DOJ about the legality of drilling and tapping the spring hole and inserting an allen nut to retain the spring. The reply that came back as negative. He posted about it here then.

Whether he did write the DOJ or not, and whether his post was truthful, I do not know. However, I would be careful about going down this path. At the very least, you should write the DOJ before assembling as such and going out to a public range.
