Well, if Feinstein, Schumer and Boxer were on the comittee hearing this, they'll probably say ATF was just doing their job...

Feinswine, Shamoo, and Boxer are in the senate. The hearing was in the House.

"Rep. Howard Coble (R-N.C.) chairs the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security, which has jurisdiction over ATF."

"Did anybody mention that it is a federal crime to deny women or minorities their civil rights?" Feeney asked. "Did anybody mention to the ATF that denying civil rights, including the right to bear arms, is a federal crime?"

UNQUOTE.

Well, there we have it. Looks like the CA govt as well as other states will have a lot of anwering to do in the US Congress. And I don't think Feinstein et al would be in the committee due to conflict of interest.

These must be the dumbest ATF agents in the entire agency," Delahunt said. "I am absolutely shocked that they could be that stupid.

Delahunt is a democrat rep from Massachuesetts.

Hopefully the investigation will get good and deep and continue to fester and pop like an aggravated boil.

I'm actually kinda surprised that the BATF would profile women anyway, as well as irritated that had they been profiling white men, no one would've blinked an eye.

Only thing I can think of for why they'd pursue women would be the thought that maybe they were going to straw-purchase for husbands or children...?

Statements from the main players at the hearing are on The High Road.

John White of The Gunsmith

Annette Gelles, owner of Showmasters Gun Shows
and
James Lalime, salesman.

A good read.

Maybe you should just tell him to get the "L" out of here and have Ramon choose a less confusing name.

Back on topic: Please keep in mind the real culprits here are very likely not the individual officers or agents. Some pointy haired boss, hidden behind several layers of bureaucracy, put them all up to this. Don't waste time going after the Dilberts. The egotistical, arrogant, kingdom-building idiot who's really behind all this needs to have their name run through the mud.

In any case, she says, overseas critics should not judge China by their standards.

“In my family, if my child does not lay her chopsticks down properly, then I will smack her, but maybe in your family you are too relaxed about such things,” Ms Chen says. “Each family has its own rules and countries are the same.”

GREAT example for the rest of the world to base their opinions on.

Freaking totalitarian state trying to legitimize themselves.

I'm sure we've got quite a few politicians who would fit in well over there.

No, no no, every single one of them needs to be held personally accountable, up to and including criminal charges, commiting terroristic acts, etc.

Throw the book at 'em, that will make their buddies think twice about 'just following orders'.
