I was thinking about shifting my shooting focus to more rim fire and get away from the ole steel butt plate mosin punishers. I checked out Gunbroker to check prices out and dang, 100 bucks a tin plus shipping for generic Russian Light ball. I am not near crazy enough to believe that I can get that for mine, does anyone actually buy it that high??

My last order was ammoman and I paid $195 with free shipping.
That was for a case of two 440 tins

prices they are a-climbin' so it's not that outrageous at this point. check SMG and JG sales to get an idea.

Get a Past pad and punishing recoil will be a thing of the "past". :D

I really don't enjoy shooting my Mosin carbines without the Past pad. With it I can shoot all day with no pain at all. Since the pad goes on me and not the gun I can use one pad with all of my hard-kicking rifles.

I am a Past Pad user also. I put on the pad, and then put another t shirt on top of that so it is less "dorky"

Lets me shoot all day, and shoot a few different rifles.

If my shoulder isn't bruised by the end of a range day, I didn't have enough fun.

So, you enjoy not shouldering a rifle properly? I've never had a problem with bruising with any gun which I shouldered properly. Well, there was that time when I pulled both triggers of a 311 with 3" 12g shells in it.

I completely forgot I wanted one of those! I am using a piece of heavy foam rubber sheeting that I snagged from work. Hmm, too bad I already hit up the Easter Bunny for a new 22 already.
