This was surprisingly funny. Although when you open carry the mag wouldn't be in, but whatever.

In CA yes.... Most OC states are a LOADED OC.

Although when you open carry the mag wouldn't be in, but whatever.Only in California. I think CA may stand alone with the requirement that it be unloaded.

Carrying an unloaded gun is like driving a car with no gas.

Actually make that carry an unloaded gun is like drinking decaf coffee :puke:

It was a coffee shop in CA. Note the grade "A" poster in the window. Minor, yeah I know, but the first thing I thought, "Man, if that was shot in LA area, imagine the phone calls the local PD are getting right now by the passer-bys in the cars and on the sidewalk next to this filming!".

hahaha brilliant. I like how he tastes the coffee before he holsters his weapon... just in case.

I may actually watch his show again for the first time in years.

I didn't think that was funny. Just another stereotypical portrayal of the "crazy" gun owner and what they think will happen if we carry a gun.

I took it to be a broad satire of the kind of thing that anti-gunners suggest will happen ... but we all know will not and does not.

CCWFacts

That's stupid. Most of the Starbucks in the US are in shall-issue states. CCWers get caffeinated while packing at most of the Starbucks in the US every single day. Even in California, there must be thousands of gun-carrying LEOs and CCWers getting their mochas at Starbucks, every single day. His video is trying to suggest that getting a cup of joe would become an experience on the brink of a shootout if people could carry guns in Starbucks. But it's already almost universal and no scenes like that happen.

I thought you can UOC with an empty mag in CA.

Funny video, but better for the antis than the gunnies.

If you listen to what Jimmy Kimmel is saying at the beginning of the clip where he supports Starbucks current policy,....I think it is a good policy, the law is the law. Why should store owners be put in the middle of this thing? you realize that he is mocking the unfounded fears of the anti gun crowd. Sure he takes a jab at us as well but, it is done with satire. You have to love the shotgun wielding barista sweeping his own partner with the muzzle. It is so over the top that only a complete idiot would think this is really what happens. Odds are if you're that stupid, you're probably already a life member of the Brady campaign.

Has there been any talk about gun supporters (CCW + OC) all uniting to show our support of Starbucks' Policy? maybe we could plan one precise day where we ALL commit to buy at least one product, all across the country. Do you think it would make a noticeable ripple?

I read it completely opposite....

They are making fun of the liberals who are making an issue of it. I took the video as sarcasm, thereby insinuating that carrying guns into Starbucks is no big deal.

Cobrafreak

I agree, I took the video as poking fun at Anti-Gunners who think it a huge topic when it is really no big deal at all. Laugh at yourself and you have won half the battle.

Wow. Now that I look at it, it says everyone on this thread is banned...some kind off glitch?

Yah, I was reading another post that said the same thing. Thought that was a joke. Anybody sent an email to the webmaster?

think I'll send one now. kind of funny though like a mark of shame.

Before you send that email, go take a look at the calendar.

And yes, the gun free zone was hilarious.

I personally don't think it's fuuny. People are already paranoid over gun ownership let alone open carry. I would do it I just don't want hassle from LEO or possibly arrested and charged. Don't need to incurr legal fees again!!! :mnl::18::hurray::90:

California is the only state that requires the weapon not be loaded afaik. You can also have an empty magazine in the firearm.

Not really funny at all, a lot of misinformation and misrepresentation.

Also, a mag is allowed in the firearm during UOC. It simply cannot be loaded with rounds in the chamber or inserted magazine IIRC.

Yes, we did that already, at the beginning of this fight, right after Starbucks told the Brady Bunch to take a flying ****.

But, I see know reason why could not do it again. I am always up for a good coffee.

I thought the video was funny. I don't usually find Jimmy Kimmel (sp?) funny, but I did laugh out loud at the video. Good actors, good facial expressions, and the barista with the 12 ga was really funny.

Same.
And Jimmy casually shoots a guy while walking out... this is exactly how antis want us to look. Reckless, oblivious, careless.
