That is a good price if it's in good shape, I'd be tempted if I didn't already have a few. There's nothing wrong with giving a heads up here AFAIK, bet it goes quickly!

I paid $100 more for mine, but i remember paying that much more for everything a couple years back.

Yeah, definitely a good price! Most of them go for around $400.
I recently got one myself and it's a great little rifle.

I like those rifles but I read somewhere that the actions could be sub standard for high-power .308 loads...

Is that FUD, or is there any truth to that?

(I'd like to have an FR-8 someday)

I've heard that it's the FR-7 that may have trouble, as it's built off of an earlier rifle (small-ring action). The FR-8 should be good to go with any standard .308 (or 7.62x51 NATO). There are a lot of involved and heated arguments about whether the small-ring action can take normal and surplus ammo pressures, but I'm not venturing into that.

OP - No bad form at all - As a matter of fact - A link would even be better -

So did anyone picked this up yet?

I am in the process of getting one this week. My under standing is you can't go wrong using Nato ammo, and the 8 is a better choice over the 7.

I heard it was more for the FR-7 and less for the FR-8.
