View Full Version : SPF: BCM Stainless/NM 16" Barrel, Mid-Length Upper - *Price Lowered

03-27-2010, 6:33 PM
For Sale: (1) Bravo Co. (BCM) 16", Mid Length, Stainless Steel (SS410), Upper Receiver Group.

-Wylde 1/8 Twist Rate: a bit more ideal for 55 grain ammo that the majority of us shoot relative to 1/7.
-Barrel Marked: HP (High Pressure Tested to 70,000 psi), MP (Magnetic Particle Inspection to filter out flaws), 1/8 (twist ratio), 5.56 (rated for higher pressure 5.56 rounds), NM (National Match)
-Medium Contour Profile: heavier contour than Government Profile (what most AR barrels run) without getting too heavy (ie HBAR)
-Hand Lapped Button Rifling (just a different method of rifling a barrel)
-Test Fired from factory.

What BCM has to say about the SS410 Barrel:
"This BCM stripped barrel is machined from a 410 stainless steel. It features hand lapped button rifling with a 1/8 twist rate and M4 feedramps. As with all BCM barrels it is proofed (HPT) and magnetic particle inspected (MPI). To give the shooter the best balance of weight and accuracy this BCM barrel has a mid weight profile and a mid length gas system.
(410 stainless is a harder and more corrosion resistant than the conventional 416 stainless found in most barrels.)"

Other than that, you can expect the standard BCM quality: excellent M4 feed ramp cuts, F-marked FSB, T-Marked Mil-Spec Upper Receiver, etc.

Special Notes:
This rifle is in pristine, unfired condition (save for the factory test fires). I bought it as a start to my 2nd AR, but I love my 1st AR so much this upper is getting zero attention. All I've done is mount it to a lower, and wipe down the barrel/upper with CLP.

No BCG or CH included.
Will include the Plastic Handguards (with Aluminum heat shield inserts) for free.

Photos: As hard as I tried, I couldn't beat the stock photos. I did take some of the barrel marks since I didn't see any of that on the website.
