I'm a new shooter and very interested in attending IPDA etc. matches and events. I've seen ones down in Lytle Creek, and Chino. Anything up my way?

Piru Rifle Range has a IPDA Range. 15 minutes from Magic Mtn
Contact Mike Dalton by email at: mdalton@isishootists.com

Hwy 5 to Rte 126 going towards Ventura, Right on Main Street, Right at the T, to Holser Cyn (RT) , follow the dirt road about 2 miles and you will see the signs.

I believe they shoot 4th Sat of the month.

They have 8 ranges. One rifle range open to the public and the others are private (Black Powder, Cowboy, IDPA, 3 Gun etc). Come up and look around. Stop at the rifle range ask for Mike Thompson. He will tell you where to go.

I believe they have some IDPA stuff at Oak Tree Gun Club in Newhall. You may want to give them a call. http://www.oaktreegunclub.com

Here is the website for the Piru range 6mmAI is referring to: http://isishootists.com/

There is also a USPSA match every 4th Sunday at Gophers/SWPL. The range is a private range in San Fernando right by the 118 and 210 interchange. It's range policy not to publicize the exact location of the range. See here for more information: http://22rimfire.org/swpl.htm

I actually found the site for the SWPL a while back and dropped them an email in regards to the event on the 25th but haven't heard back.

Nooo... SWPL does not meet at the Angeles Range. It's at private range several miles (and exits) away from Angeles.
