Hello I've made a couple other posts already and I forgot to check in here first just wanted to introduce my self. I just purchased my first weapon and picked it up wednesday a Ruger P95 and already put a 150 rounds through it. I am very happy with it and look forward to improving my marksmenship:). If any calguners in my area are heading to a range shoot me a PM I would like to meet some new people and learn a few things.

None. There used to be an indoor range on Hammer Lane, but it closed several years back. There's a club out east of town (members only), but otherwise, you have to go either south to Barnwood Arms in Ripon or north to the Gun Room in Elk Grove.

Shame, because a city of 200,000 could use a closer range.

A little far for a lunch hour trip, but good info nonetheless. Thanks!

I think that's the one that used to be Members Only. Glad to see they changed.

Shoot Stockton here as well bud. Oh yeah and Welcome to Calguns! I'm super tied up with school lately but would be down for hitting the range and sharing techniques sometime.

San Joaquin has never been a member only range, you could become one to pay half price. After the murder suicides at both indoor ranges they closed down. SJ has always "looked" kinda tired and the trap range hasn't been functional since I was 16 and I'm 31 now. But it's the only "local" game. Elk grove is nice but expensive.

I like the SJ range. It's cheap, outdoors, and when I go there's only a few other people there. They had a 'deal' going on for $225 you'd become a member for a year (IIRC) and all the funding is going to range renovation...they have a few backstops already up last time I went went there. I want to ask what is going to be updated, but I want to get out and shoot more lol.

Lincoln eh? Dont you mean "the enemy?" :43:

I read on the record's website that the ol' rivalry got a little out of hand a year or two ago with some fights and violence...glad we didnt have any "in my day"
