View Full Version : Does the Deputy's pick make any difference in the Sheriffs race?

In OC the Deputies have not had a great result with picking candidates. They supported Paul Walters who lost and then Bill Hunt who lost (Both to Carona).

I expect at some point the OCSD Deputies will come to a decision on which candidate to support finaccially in the current race. Does their endorcement carry any weight with you? Why or why not?

No. But they will probably bring a boatload of money into the race in favor of whoever they endorse.

Yes! They've endorsed the loser in every contested election in Orange County in modern times.

at least when they've supported Hunt, i can get behind them. They didn't support Corona and look how he turned out.

I guess if they actually live in Orange county, they could support him by voting for him.

According to the OCR the deputies are voting on who to back this week. Apparently its decided by a popular vote.
