Hey guys,
Im a little confused about the law on one thing. I know its illegal to buy sell manufacture, bring into, lend a 30 rounder, but its legal to possess one correct? So would it be illegal to fire your AR or AK with a 30 rounded or would that turn it into an evil weapon?

Putting over 10 round mag into an AR/AK style weapon will trigger AW status.

Check the Calguns Flowchart: http://calnra.com/cgi-bin/flowchart.cgi

Putting over 10 round mag into an AR/AK style weapon will trigger AW status if it's not a featureless build.

Fixed it for you.

No prob. I usually don't think of them either, as I don't have any high caps to play with. But for those that do, it's sadly the only way to go :(

You know what, I should amend what I just said:

You can run high caps in a featureless build so long as it doesn't have a fixed magazine (e.g. with a bullet button). It's a subtle distinction, but if you hypothetically had a featureless with a BB on it (don't know why you would), you would be in AW territory if you ran high caps in it.

To summarize:

Evil features + detachable mag + high caps = Assault Weapon
Evil features + bullet button + high caps = Assault Weapon
Featureless + bullet button + high caps = Assault Weapon
Featureless + detachable mag + high caps = Not an Assault Weapon
