SNIP

examiner.com This morning America awoke to news of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's latest plan to pass President Obama's unpopular and massive health care "reform" bill. It's pretty ingenious - Pelosi will just "deem" the bill as passed by the House without actually holding a vote on the bill.

. . .

Gun owners should be particularly worried at this procedure. Pelosi could easily use this Jedi mind trick to pass without a vote anti-gun legislation such as banning private sales of guns at gun shows or banning scary but otherwise normal rifles often demonized by some as so called "assault weapons."

Well, this is terrible and all, but it probably should be in off topic.

^ When they take over enough things like health care and energy, they won't have to.

Exactly, there is very good eason for them to take everything else over first. If they OWN our doctors, teachers, utilities, gas, employers, insurance and loans...well, we're screwed.

Seriously, though, 14 million in one year and TX shops ran out of AR's in a week.

She won't have to touch them. She'll just think them away!

And then she'll think the Minuet in 'G' & she'll then be able to play the Minuet in 'G.'

There's an error in the title. Pelosi isn't a Jedi, she's a Sith. Stunning resemblence to Palpatine.

This makes the Assemblymen simpletons who are easily mind controlled.

They can only do that under cover of darkness. Now that light has been shined on it, and people know about it, if the people all over America really care about their freedom, they will vote everyone out to get those that conspired with her to do this.

To use mind tricks on has to have a mind.

I really, really hope so! The general public has been saying they're paying more attention to their representatives and who they vote for, I guess we'll find out for sure towards the end of the year.

I think America is coming to a fork in the road. We will either go to the left, in which case we will cede control to Washington, or we will go to the right, and take back all the power that is ours. People like to proudly proclaim "Freedom isn't free." People need to realize that neither are entitlements. The price comes in the form of taxes, and loss of freedoms.

You are kidding, right? Are you talking about the same people that are too busy watching Survivor or Big Brother to spend any time reading about what is going on in Washington?

We have lost to Socialism.

I don't watch them, and I'm sure there are a lot of people like me that don't watch those shows either. In looking at the viewing audience, it looks like there are about 17 million viewers watching those shows. That equates to 6% of the population. What do you think everyone else is doing? I think that the citizenry is more engaged than you think. And I think 2010 may be a replay of 1994.

We have lost to Socialism.

Not quite. We can't base our point of view on California. It's an anomaly.

I think we need to stop using labels such as "socialism" to describe the path this country is headed.

I can assure you that the ruling class does not care about socialism, communism, capitalism, etc. They only care about consolidating and expanding their control over the rest of us.

Everything else is smoke and mirrors put in front of us to create division amongst the people. We argue left vs. right, health care, socialism, democrat, republican, etc. Mean while...they work in secret and in unison against us all.

Naw. Naive.

These days there's far, far less support for gun control then health care issues. A lotta Blue Dogs don't wanna step on a live wire.

Pelosi is smart enough (and has even expressed it) to stay away from this live wire.

And we have enough people in both parties able to do procedural roadblocks. We own Congress - so much so that CCWs were allowed in Nat'l Parks to get a credit card bill thru, and even after Va Tech tragedy, we actually got the NICS improvement act passed as a dual-role bill - as a pacifier for those that had to say they were 'doing something', and as a method for recovering certain veterans' lost firearms rights.

Let's keep focus on where the real gunrights problems are today - usually state/local level, plus wild BATF enforcement issues.
