What kind of groups is this thing supposed to shoot?

No posting in the forums would be complete without at least one entry like this.

M1a's are battle rifles, not precision bolt guns... even so, some people have said they have gotten 1moa or less from scoped loaded M1As with match ammo, but 1.5 - 2moa is more common, especially with surplus stuff and iron sights.

IMO, if you want precision at 300 yards, use a bolt gun. But if you want to throw some serious full-power 30cal hurting down, with Minute of Bad Guy accuracy, an M1A is very far from your worst choice. Plus, racking those things makes such a damn fine sound. :)

If I may chime in, this is a photo of two ten shot groups with an M-1A Loaded at 100 yards, iron sights, prone with the sling. I tweaked the rifle a little bit though. I love M-1A rifles.:)

Looks like 1.5" groups. Damn fine shooting, and I'm sure the rifle can do even better than that (with a good scope and mount).

Bump for a fine rifle for sale.
