Mossberg Model 835 “ULTI MAG” 12g, 2 ¾” - 3 ½” Pump

This is the gun you take to Salton Sea and you don’t worry about getting it dirty or rusty.
This is a great back-up gun for any waterfowl or upland situation. It’s been a great gun and I’ve killed a load of birds with it but I replaced it with a Berretta Extrema II.

· Matte finish
· Ported 28” Barrel
· Black Synthetic Stock
· Sling
. Serial# UM460140
· Pump Action
. Shoots 2 3/4", 3" and 3 1/2" Mag
· Removable choke tubes (1)

The gun is in very used condition and I won’t lie to you, it ain’t the purdy’st gun in my safe... It's likda ugly but it does work great. I used it for 5 or 6 seasons and I duck & goose hunt often. The trigger assembly started getting loose so I used electrical tape on it to keep it tight and it’s working great. A new trigger assembly is $55 so I’ll lower my price $100 so you can replace it and have it installed - if you think you need to - I used it all season "as is" without the slightest problem.

I live in Orange and I’ll meet anyone who would like to get an “in person” look at the gun. I would prefer to meet at Turners or Fowlers or another gun store fairly close to Orange.

Asking $250 as is.

($350 with a new trigger assembly included).

SOLD! “Mossberg and Sons, Inc” Model 183 DC, 410g 3’ Bolt Action Shotgun

I bought this gun so long ago I can’t remember what I paid for it... It looks to be old but if you know the serial number you could date it somewhere in the 50's. Thanks to a great member here it seems that I'm way off an I reduced the price accordingly;

· Adjustable choke on the barrel (not sure if it makes a diff or works)
· Bolt action
· Walnut Stock
· Holds 3 – 410g shells
· Made in North Haven Connecticut
· Serial # 115118

If you have a Youth shooter or future shooter in your family, this is the perfect starter gun. I had a gunsmith check it out before we started using it and he said, “as old as it is, mechanically, it’s in great shape”

This is by no means a "Show Gun". The gun is fairly old and has less that 10% blue, if any. It has a lot of rust on the metal, and nicks on the stock but it’s as reliable as they get. I taught my son how to shoot with this gun because it’s very lightweight and being Bolt action, it’s a safer way to introduce a Junior to shooting and gun safety. I cut the stock down about 4" (to make it Jr sized) and still have the piece I cut if you want it.

I live in Orange and I’ll meet anyone who would like to get an “in person” look at the gun. I would prefer to meet at Turners or Fowlers or another gun store fairly close to Orange.

Asking $150, as is.

If you find out it’s a priceless rare antique, please do not let me know. :)

Thank you for looking.

Tape a flashlight to the barrel (after you cut it down) and it will sell. ;)

The Moss 835 is a 28"

03-08-2010, 9:34 PM
This is the best deal on the board and is well under priced IMHO.. great looking gun!

03-08-2010, 9:41 PM
The woodsmaster 30.06 is 22"

03-08-2010, 9:44 PM
If I had the money right know I'd get it, nice looking rifle!

03-08-2010, 9:48 PM
Thanks Blazer! My son just offered me 500. lol, he's 13 and has 7 guns of his own... I'll hold out for 500 since I know what he has saved in his bank account.:cool2:

03-08-2010, 10:12 PM
This gun Moss 835 12g) is well worth 300... If I can get someone to give me 225 cash, take it away but if not, I'll replace the $55 trigger assembly and re-sell it for $325 (with a genuine flashlight taped to the side). This gun is a must have "swamp gun"... Do we have any duck hunters here?

Just bustin y'alls chops. Price reduced to 225.

$140... Where can you buy a custom youth model, bolt action .410 shotgun for 140??? I must be nutz... I will return your money with (no questions) back if this gun is does not exceed your operational expectations. I don't need the money, I need some space in the safe but - I can't pay someone to take the gun. LOL

Show a little love... I'll throw in a crud load of 410 shells (probably worth more than $140). Y'all R killin me . LOL

The .410 is sold!

03-08-2010, 10:30 PM
Since this is C & R it can be shipped to a private person right? How many shells?

03-08-2010, 10:32 PM
I don't know much about these guns.

It it a gas operated action, or inertia driven?

03-08-2010, 10:42 PM
It's a standard stock woodsmaster gun, I doubt it's gas, I see that more with shotguns.. Just by looking at it (and too lazy to look it up)... I would say inertia and I don't even know what the heck inertia is. LOL

03-08-2010, 11:07 PM
I have several shells. I need to dig through my stuff to find them but I have around 100 more ore less... Bismouth, Steel and lead. I'll give you what I have but the shells arn't part of the deal... they're just more crud I need to shed.

You'll shoot $140 worth of shells through this gun in a year if you're a hunter or shooter.
I don't know what C&R means. I don't want to pick up the cost of shipping or FFL if I can avoid it (buyer pays)I will break even if I ship it so I need this to be a pick up only sale. If it doesn't sell here, I'll donate it to CWA. I'm pretty certain shipping shells is a no no in the republic of Kalifirnia. I live in orange and will meet anyone with $140 cash in Orange (Turners, Fowlers or somewhere close).

EDIT: The 410 is sold!

I will take it.

03-09-2010, 8:25 AM
They are gas operated.

03-09-2010, 2:25 PM
What's the year of manufacture? I just picked up a nice 1977 myself. Great rifle.

They are gas operated.
Thanks Dirtbiker. I know very little about this gun... I've never chambered a round through it but my friend who sold it to me said it was fun to shoot.

By the way, If this gun action is not in perfect mechanical condition, I'll buy it back. My friend shot less than a box through it - just to sight it in - and he said it worked flawlessly.
