Bear with me. Is it possible to mount a spare A2 Pistol Grip to one of those holes in bottom of the hand guard for a KISS forward Grip. OR should I go the extra mile and not be a cheap B**tard and get a set of good quality rails?

If you want a forward grip do it right and get a rail.

If you want a "KISS" rifle then don't put a forward grip on it.

Not my kind of thing, but sounds like the product in the center of the linked page:

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that the VFG is most useful in preventing muzzle rise under FA. Most of the semi-auto shooters that I've seen in tactical competitions tend to use it more as an index point - i.e. they put their forward hand right behind it, but do not actually grab it.

I am very happy with my featureless KISS build. . .

I am not understanding you correctly, you want a simple VFG? or a VFG for a KISS rifle? A simple foregrip would be the magpul AFG, but the other way would not make your rifle a KISS anymore.

I want a simple fore grip. I saw a pic from Nam era and a soldier used a spare A1 pistol grip as an improvised fore grip. I was wondering if anyone had experience with that.

OP, I have seen those before and can't seem to find them. This is the closest I can find, it is exactly what you describe but an Ergo grip, not an a1: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=285499

What you want doesn't exist. You'd need a rail and the ARMS mount.

Wait a bit - Magpul is going to make a MOE grip for the MOE handguard. No rail necessary.

Everybody knows I'm ghetto trash so revealing this wont be a big deal. I used to use a simple kitchen towel twisted and wrapped as a foregrip. It worked great on MANY different rifle platforms. Good "clean" fun.

I bought a small rail that bolts to the handguard in two minutes. When the occasion call for it, I attach a Young Machine Foregrip (very heavy, great for keeping barrel on target) in seconds.
