If you have an M1A with a 10rd mag, would you get extra mags or use stripper clips to reload? This poll is open to everyone in CA -- even if you don't have an M1A.

Mags, of course. 5x faster than stripper clips.

Since the gun is featureless, there is no need for a bullet button of any sort. AND you can use all of those pre-ban 20-round mags you own.

Not sure if you are joking here..............

I'm not. I have not shot an M1A so I wanted to get some opinions here. I do know that strippers are a lot cheaper than mags though.

Stripper clips usually hold only 5 rounds. I have several 20 round mags that will work for me well.

I have more pre-ban 20 rounders than stripper clips but yeah, if it's a 10 rounder, the clips'll work fine

For slow fire I just roll one round at a time into the magazine. Since I shoot mostly slow fire that is the most common way for me.

Thanx, Russ

There are 10 rd stripper clips that will fill up the mag in one go.

Mags to reload the weapon, stripper clips to reload the mags.

Is there a feed mechanism to reload the mag with a clip?

Mags. My scope and extended cluster rail make using stripper clips impossible.

I chose both.
I'd get 4 or 5 mags, but keep the rounds on stripper clips.

Depends on the situation. Carrying magazine only limits how much ammo you can carry. A mix of both mags and stripper clips will increase you ammo carrying ability.

Try Sierra 168 MK w/ 41.5 grains of IMR 4064 with Wolf large rifle primer in LC match brass. Seat the bullt the same as LC match rounds. You will like it.;)
