Here's how I did it. It's a little bit of work but, I think it's worth It. First you have to drill the hole in the regular mag. catch button out to 3/16". Cut the mag. button to use as a spacer. 3/16" thickness. The metal is real soft so it is easy to cut with a hack saw. You will probably have to file it flat to finish it.
Next you will have to drill the hole in the plastic spacer that was provided with the kit. Need to drill it out with a 5/16" drill bit to a dept of 5/16". This is about the thickness of the circular nut that was provided with the kit. Drill deep enough so the nut will go into the plastic spacer flush with the top. A drill press will make it easier to drill the hole straight. But, you can use a hand drill if you take your time and make sure you are drilling the hole parallel to the existing hole.
The 3/16" spacer goes in first than the plastic spacer than the round nut. You may have to file the end of the mag. catch if the you can't tighten the the nut flush with the top of the plastic spacer.
The finish product is about the same dementions as a regular mag. catch. You can also use a sharpe to blacken up the silver area.

Interesting, so would someone kindly sort of explain how this thing works? I guess the button doesn't move when you push it, but if you unscrew the screw with the allen wrench, then you can depress the mag catch button?

The the button will not move at all. Spacer takes up the spring area of the mag release. You don't use the spring. When you remove the round nut you have to push out the mag. release with the allen wrench. It's not threaded to the spacers. Get It?
By the way. When I first bought these conversions, (6 total they were only $6.95) Now, $14.95 !!! I thought something like this would happen so, I got them right after I ordered my lowers. In Dec. Everyone wants some of the $$$$$ action . :D :D :D

I'm spilling out all the specs.... you can work on it a little bit and make the kit for like $3.....

So... u can reuse your mag-catch button, get an "Allen Nut" and a "Female Unthreaded Round Spacer" (from http://www.mcmaster.com/)
