22-250 is one of the most accurate rounds in the world, its a shame you don't reload because that's the only way to get the most out of it. Both are smoking fast rounds but I'd take a 22-250 over a 204. The 204 has a slight advantage in BC but the 22-250 is going to have a lot more bullet selection.

I use .223 to hunt yotes but I do love the 22-250. It's a screamer, and like bugsplat and bigbamboo said, it's extremely accurate. So accurate that you could decide WHICH AREA of the boiler room to place your shot.

Either round will be great, you can't go wrong. If you dont reload then the .204 is going to be better in the long run since it's faily cheaper to shoot. If money is of no concern to you then the slightly more expensive 22-250 ammo will be great as well....but if money is of no concern could just get both :)

Both, I have an AR in 204 that I use primarily. If its windy at all I pull out the trusty Savage in 22-250. If its gusting its 243 time.

I had a 204 AR that I freaking loved. Wish I hadn't sold it, but needed the money. Tough choice... 204 I find ammo for just about anywhere and its cheaper, from what I've seen. So, yea, I'm no help 'cause I like 'em both and agree with everyone else on ehere!

Mine is a Ruger Number one varminter. And it gets my vote!

one thing I have not seen mentioned yet is that you will be able to spot most of your own shots with the .204 Ruger because of the very light recoil.

I just picked up a used ruger 22-250 the other day, when i did the dros app i asked did they the ammo in stock and was told yes.The day i picked it up asked for the ammo and was told there out! Went to another store that i had called two weeks prior ammo was in stock at that time so i drove over there and they also were out. 22-250 = reload

I have never had a problem finding ammo for my 22-250, it just finding good ammo for my 22-250 thats the problem. Since it's a very fast round it burns the barrel faster than normal so if im going to shoot it im only going to put high quality rounds through it. The varmint gernades seem to be the best shooting round out of my tikka the only issue is that they flying out at 4170 fps.

Savage 12 LRPV DBM is what I use. I bought my son the 12 FLV. They are accurate as heck.
