i went ahead and pulled the trigger on a a PRS stock for $189 on my full length AR and put it together today. my old set-up was an A2 style in OD green. this is my 20" shooter, and probably the most accurate AR in my collection. the stock is perfect, and it is a big upgrade from the old A2 buttstock. anyway it kind of looks funny w/ the the PRS stock and full length A2 handguard.

i've always liked the MOE handguards for the carbine, and would love to see what it looks like w/ the full length MOE handguard. i remember hearing that the mid length MOE handguards would be released this year, but does anyone know if they will be releasing it in full length? i won't ask when because i know magpul never delivers on the expected date.

Midlengths and rifle lengths are supposed to be released around summer time.

I am waiting for the mid-length myself.

Keep in mind that the black ones will be out first. If you're looking for any other color, it will probably be a couple months after the black ones have a chance to fully reach the market.

Perfect! Thanks for this thread. My next project is going to be a mid-length build with a standard handguard, but during the planning process recently I've been really admiring the MOE handguard and was disappointed they only had it for carbine length systems. Looks like theres luck just yet.

It's the rubberized MOE grip. Magpul's answer to the Ergo.

I'll probably still like the Ergo better.

Just one thing to keep in mind.

All that stuff on that list that says "Feb '10", with the exception of the DVD's, didn't come out last month like they were supposed to :)

I am getting the MOE for a carbine length and am debating to wait for the MOE vert grip or just get a rail and do an AFG

Why'd they cheap out and not continue the slots in the upper part? Looks kinda half-buttocksed.

deals are out there... you have to keep your ear to the ground. Odds are it's long gone.

Actually, I noticed a couple stores selling it for less than $200 using Google Shopping. Not sure I'd trust any of them though.

thanks for all the info everyone. can't wait 'til these things drop, but as w/ all magpul products, i'm not holding my breath.

i got the PRS stock on sale a DSG Arms (http://dsgarms.com/index.cfm/category/177/going-green-sale.cfm) as they have a great sale on OD and foliage green accessories. they've had it on sale for quite some time as i remember almost pulling the trigger back in dec. just glad it was still around.

those slots accept screw on plates to mount lights, lasers, accesories. there really isn't a reason to have it in the rear portion of the handguard.

May not be exactly what the production models will look like either...
