Any owners in here? Any issues you may have with your rifles? Have you dealt with DD directly for support? How is their customer service?

Can you post pictures of your DD rifles if you have any? I'm looking at the DD MOE Edition Rifle from Rifle Gear, and just wondering how the rifle performs, and how the company treats its customers and such.

You won't find anybody anywhere who isn't happy with their Daniel Defense products.

Those MOE edition rifles from Riflegear are hawt. I have a DD upper on a calguns.net lower but I have yet to fire it (busy with work and such). The quality appears top notch on the DD upper.

Everything except there oversized rear sights everything else seems great. There quality is up there with LMT and Noveske, while i picked Noveske and LMT over DD, i wouldnt pass up a good deal on a DD upper, lower or complete rifle.

I'm assuming that's just your personal preference right? There's nothing wrong with their fixed rear sights . They're well built.

I love my DD upper with Omega X 12 rail on it. I also love the stellar deal I got on it just before xmas last year! Even at full price it's a great upper and is my current go-to-gun. Get one, you won't be sorry!

Awesome products awesome rifles. My very first AR was the DDM4v1 and I got it when they first came out.

Sold it to a friend at a discount so he can experience what a nice rifle feels like.

On top of many other things I want to buy the DDM4v3 is on my list.

That's a killer rifle. Care to give us a rundown on all the parts on that build? How much did it set you back, if you don't mind my asking?

Thanks! As it turns out, this rifle is probably just under $1000 total (minus EOTech.) I scored the DD 16" carbine, Cold Hammer Forged upper w/ the Omega X-12 FSP rail installed for $699 from BCM right around xmas last year (super sale!) I've had the MEGA Gator lower laying around for awhile and got that for <$80 pre-Obama and threw a RRA two-stage LPK in it ($120 on sale!) Then I just added the various Magpul accoutrements like MOE grip, CTR and AFG plus the TROY rails. All-in-all, just about a grand! I have since added a Smith Vortex flash hider. Oh and that's a VTAC two-point sling - my fav.

I personally like the extra rail length, because I have really long arms and the AFG works better for me out that far. It also gives a nice spot to mount a TLR-1 at 12 o'clock, while leaving the irons unobstructed.

Out of curiosity - did you choose the MOE because it's cheaper or because you can't really tell a difference with the CTR?

Personally, I see no reason to pay for the CTR. I don't use QD cups on stocks and the difference in stability is almost imperceptible - on the order or less than the play of a good upper/lower.

I love mine. Picked it up from Riflegear as well and made some small changes:

Well, I got the stock for free, which certainly helped :)

But yeah, lately I've been liking the MOE more than the CTR. I used to REALLY like the friction lock, but current MOE's on a quality buffer tube are really solid and the CTR no longer really has the appeal that it used to. I also don't use the QD cup at all, so that was a non-issue with the MOE. So, all that coupled with the fact that the MOE is about $40 cheaper, make the MOE a better choice for me.

That's $40 I can spend on some ammo and a badger latch, which I can no longer live without. Heh.

Try the PRI combat latch or the new BCM's.

The big badger is so... big.

Badger Gen II's :)

I only like the Gen I giant's on big scoped rifles.

I'm not a huge fan of the PRI, but I'm liking the LMT more and more each day. I may have to start selling off some charging handles in the near future.

I like the BCM, but it's very uncomfortable for use without gloves. I don't normally shoot with gloves, so that's kinda a deal breaker for me.

Just to make it clear which I'm talking about, I'm not saying the PRI weenie - I mean this one:

It's better than the LMT, by a wide margin. I agree that those are not the most comfortable.

I prefer the PRI angle (forward).

I love your rifle! I picked up a AFG and BAD from Rifle Gear yesterday, I got to play with the different versions of the DD rifles on display, though I still intend to get a Noveske Rifle, my first off shelf rifle will definately be the DD once I get a few bills out of the way and my taxes come in :)

Just deciding if I should buy full rifle or build build ;)

I was originally going to buy my DD rifle a few months ago from RG, but financial issues and work, and all that jive, forced me to wait, but I wanted to at least get some shooting done and familiarize myself with the AR, all my wifes rifles are in Colorado, and I had been itching to get one, so I bought one at discount, stag.

Its been a great play with rifle, but its a bit heavy, and isn't as accurate as I would like.

I would say buy an off shelf rifle, but thats just me, and my 2 cents. And wants ;) I may build something else later, but for HD and just casual use, a utility rifle? I hear way to much good stuff about DD to dismiss these past 2 days! And after man handling a few at Rifle Gear, I am sold!

Their LWRC rifles are nice too :( thats what my wife herself is saving up for, lol. Hmmm... DD, Noveske, LWRC = all 3? Happy O:) someday maybe!
