(Item for sale is a beautiful Mauser that my roommate is trying to sell, any questions can be sent to him through email; chrismoris@gmail.com )

For sale is a 1891 Argentine Mauser chambered in 7.65x53 Argentine; serial #T0591 made in Berlin. All of the numbers match (including the cleaning rod) and the crest is ground off as is typical for this gun. I have owned this rifle for approximately two years and it is a real beauty. The wood is gorgeous and has tiger stripping all the way up the stock and many cartouches with few blemishes. The finish is original and I have not applied any linseed oil or anything else to embellish the wood's natural beauty for these photos. The photos are as it is right out of storage (have been storing it in a climate controlled environment for almost a year now). The barrel is the original length, not sporterized. The rifling is very strong and the rifle shoots very well, I took the best bore photographs I could. It is surprisingly accurate for a 110 year old gun. I have shot no more than 100 rounds through the barrel. In the sale I will include an "XL" soft carrying case, Lee Reloading die set, and the leather sling pictured. The leather sling is the only non-original piece on the rifle. I am asking $500 obo. I accept Paypal or money order, your choice. Thank you!

Please note that the pictures are grainy due to my poor quality camera, the pictures really don't do the gun justice.

Is this still for sale?

Also, is this a DWM or Loewe? I haven't received my C&R yet so a Loewe would be a little more convenient.

Thanks!

Berlin it's probably a Loewe. these are fantastic rifles, renowned for accuracy and this one is particularly pretty. if i didn't 2 already and a full safe, i'd be after this one like a fat girl after a cupcake. beautiful rifle and good luck with sale. wish i could have it.

Beautiful. If I didn't already have one just like it, it'd be mine. This isn't C&R BTW, it's an antique, not even considered to be a firearm by the ATF or DOJ. No paperwork required for guns made before 1898.

Well, I was pretty sure it was a Loewe and I know those are considered "antiques"; just want to make sure. Thanks!
