I have a WASR 10 with a drunganov stock, My question is it only has the top mount for the stock. Can they lower tab be riveted in? I want to go to a standard blk syn but stock
Thanks Jim

What lower tab? Do you mean the lower tang? A stamped AK like the WASR does not have a lower stock tang. Those are only found on milled AK's. Is this thumbhole stocked WASR a single stack or double stack magazine version?

Yes the rear tang, How else would you mount a standard but stock? It is the drunganov pistol grip style and double stack

By simply inserting it and installing the two top screws that hold it in place. All of the stamped AK stocks will work.

PM me your address and I'll mail you one if you're installing a wood stock. You don't need the second screw if you're installing the polymer KVAR stock. It fits tight in there as it is. :D

The rear trunnion, what the butt stock attaches to, has two holes cut in it for the stock screws. One is on the end of the rear trunnion, and the other is beneath where the recoil spring locking lug is resting. Remove the recoil spring and you'll see it.

Ok, Do you mean where the pistol grip mount screw is?

No. Take your top cover off, then remove the recoil spring. Look down at the rear trunnion and you'll see both holes.

Do you know how to dissasemble an AK? Dissasemble it and you will see two screws.

Are the holes blind? I can't see them in the rear trunion from the top

You don't see this? This is the rear trunnion without the screws in place.
