Are you interested in a trade for two 1911's NIB? One is a S&W 1911PD with a Crimson Trace laser and a Springfield 1911 Two Tone full size. The Smith is a Commander size.

I sure like your rifle but we are about three hundred apart. Would you be willing to come up with some cash or whatever. I'm very picky about my firearm and want to know how much you paid to have the receiver refinished.
And is the finish of the rest of the gun o.k. Thanks Jim Lets make a deal

How did you determine the reciever on that rifle is refinished? Pete

just to clarify, the receiver has not been refinished. The entire gas system, consisting of the gas tube, gas valve and operating rod were sent to Robar and treated with their NP3 coating. Since these are the only parts (other than the barrel) to see the hot exhaust gasses, I wanted to make it easier to clean them and improve their wear resistance. Here is a link to Robar and the NP3 coating. http://www.robarguns.com/np3.htm. They do great work and are quite affordable.
