This (http://www.spikestactical.com/z/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=63_67&products_id=388) looks pretty cool...but does anyone knows if it functions as well as it looks? Do you think the coating is coarse like chrome? I dont want my hammer to get chewed up...

I want a really well made, and reliable bolt carrier. Im thinking JP or this one...

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

LOL! I cant tell you how many times I've read that same exact sentence in response to a BCG question. I've looked at BCM BCG, and dont get me wrong, they look well made...BUT, I'm kinda looking for something other then just a plain steel bolt (for reliability/cleanliness/wear/looks). The JP is made of stainless steel and coated with some sort of anti-friction stuff; and the Spikes is of course Nickel Boron.

If you want looks, I can krylon any BCG group for you. If you want reliable functionality, BCM is where it's at, or a Fail Zero.

Actually, the Spike bolts are coated by Fail Zero...Perhaps I should go strait to the source?

If you read the whole add it says that these are coated by Fail Zero for SPIKES......

These Nickel Boron BCG's are coated for us by FailZero to our specs using EXO Technology .
