Hi community. I was picking up my new SIG P226 X5 the other day and there was a used Kahr K40 in a nice stainless. Always see these and it felt good in my hand. It was in nice shape and i made an impulse buy.

I know most manufacturers and stick to Springfield, Kimber, Sig, Glock, HK, Beretta, Remington, IMI, Smith, all high end but really don't know much about Kahr. Are these any good? Any issues? Paid $425 with box and 2 mags. Is that decent? 9days 2 hours to go :)

Appreciate your insights.

Kahr makes excellent pistols!! They are well known for solid "backup/concealed carry" pistols. I have a P40 and love it!! It's very well built, has a match grade barrel, and Kahr recommends a 200 rd break in because their tolerances are so tight.

I have the similar stainless Kahr MK9, which has operated perfectly through about 800 rounds. I think you got a good price on your K40, as I paid $500 for my MK9 in slightly used condition. I believe the all steel Kahrs have a good reputation for reliability.
