Nothing real earth shattering, except that it's a national publication and the article doesn't have one Brady Bunch, Anti, PETA, tree hugger, gun grabbing quote in it. It does have a bit of in-house dirty laundry though.

Basically a quick review of the acceptance of "Rambo Rifles", or lack thereof. Old school wood stock vs. hi tech polymers. Plus a note that people are pushing the name "Modern Sporting Rifle" as opposed to "Assault Weapon".

Nice to see an article in a mainstream publication that just accepts rifles as any other common toy/tool.

I'm going to start calling them "Rambo Rifles". It seems more up to date than "Walter Mitty Rifles" :p

Like most print media, BW has gone downhill since the mid-late 2000s. Then bought out by Bloomberg in '09 it was revamped most of its onboard tech staff and editors (I used to date one of them!) (Huh? Oh, yeah a female ) eliminated. Today it's one of the few rags I cry at seeing because it's such a waste of a tree's life. So, not mainstream but if it promotes guns in any small way, I'm for it.
