There's been a lot of hub bub about these so might as well post my thoughts. Second outing with my Nov'09 CBOB. Picked it up a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful gun as you can see...

Shoots a little high, circled targets are at 15 yards. #1 I was aiming on top of the black dot, kinda interesting that I have two distinct four shot groups. #3 at the number 10. #2 at the middle of the white area. Head shots and taped hole, were at 25 yards with a different gun, need some work:biglaugh:. Didn't like my SWC or LRN reloads. Did fine with my fmj reloads.

The trigger has a bit of vertical play and creep, definitely not the best 1911 trigger I've felt. Depending on the exact position of the grip safety may have a harsh click when depressed. The night sights are pretty cool, my first gun with them. But a little hard to use if the light is coming from a particular direction , get some glare off the rear dots. I like the extended magazine release. Nicest wood grips I've received on any gun. I don't know why, maybe it's the bobtail but has a good slim feel to it in the hand. I'll still probably try out some thin grips.
At a $1000 I would've been happy with this gun. At $1240 OTD the gun's all right. At today's prices I'd be a little disappointed with the gun.
