I have done a search on the forums, but couldn't find a thread that listed any 1911 type pistols that were chambered for .22LR (NOT conversion kits). I've seen the Chiappa Firearms 1911-22, and the GSG 1911 in .22LR (Is this even CA approved?). I don't know of any other fully .22LR 1911 pistols, so if you guys know of any CA approved ones, please let me know.

Price range for the pistol might also be nice to know if you happen to know it off the top of your head.

Thanks.

From the Roster:
Rimfire Super / Lightweight Alloy Pistol 5" .22 LR 11/8/2010
Rimfire Target II Black / Lightweight Alloy Pistol 5" .22 LR 9/8/2010
Rimfire Target Silver / Lightweight Alloy Pistol 5" .22 LR 8/27/201

If you already have a 1911, you could get the Kimber conversion kit. They go for around $300.

Thats just the problem, I don't have a 1911, and don't particularly want to spend several hundred on one just to convert it to a .22 either. I'm just looking to stick to .22LR firearms for now because of the cost of ammo.

Are there any .22LR 1911 pistols that are in the $300-400 range?

Would that work for just the Kimber 1911's or any 1911 clone? I have the Springfield GI 1911.
