ok so i went to the range today and put around 200 rounds (remington, blazer, winchester, pmc) through this baby. Every single rounds fired and I didn't have any problems at all. Overall I'm happy I got reliable gun at a good price, the reason I bought a glock was because everyone says they are reliable and that is extremely important to all of us.

compared to my XD, this glock has a much heavier trigger pull. I don't know if all g17s are like this but it's pretty heavy. I don't mind at all, may be it just needs to broken in a little more. The previous owner hardly used it, from what I was told, so we'll see. One other thing I liked about this gun was the slide, it's a little easier to pull back than my XD's slide.

Yeah it might be ugly to some people, but this is my ugly RELIABLE gun:D

.................................................. .................................................. ..
Just picked this up today, I was going to buy a new one but for $450 I said what the hell I'll get this used one.

Everything seems fine no scratches, blemishes, or anything bad. I wish I could provide a good shot of chamber area and barrel so you can see that it looks brand new still.

I'm headed to range in the morning I'll update this thread once I shoot it

Initial thoughts:
it's alittle bigger than my XD9, the grip feels good but my XD feels a little better. The grip on my XD feels slimmer and a little more comfortable.

Sites:
When looking at the front site, I feel like I can focus on the front site much better than when looking at the XD's front site. The 3 dots on XD make me feel crosseyed &*%$^*

Is $450 good for the condition it's in? (camera sucks, my camera ruined when I went panoche hills with some calgunners back in Aug)

450 is a great price even if it was more used. I think you got a great deal. I bought my glock for a lot more brand new, now that I know how reliable, simple, and cheap to fix they are I wish I would have done what you did.

You got a pretty good deal. It looks to be in very good shape.

I went back and forth between liking the feel of the grip on my XD more and the grip on my Glock more. I think it's just whatever you are used to using at the moment. I like the grip angle on the XD more (1911'ish) but now that I've sold mine, I am back to being used to the Glock grip angle again, and prefer it.

Looks like a good buy to me. A practically new Glock 17 for $450 is certainly nothing to complain about!

Thanks guys. I first I thought it came with only one mag but it was covered by the lock and manual.

I'm headed to the range in two hours, I'll update this once I feel the trigger

I paid $499 for mine new.

Considering glocks hold their value quite well i'd say $450 is about in line.

Congrats. Now order an AA .22lr conversion kit. :D

Looks like a clean 3rd gen gun.

Not a bad price even with just one magazine.

A good deal you got in a time of grossly overpriced items and overpaying buyers.

I love mine. will be lowering the trigger spring. I put a lasermax in the old guide rod. not too happy with it. Not that it is hard to aquire but it loses connection after a few shots and quits working until it gets realligned. Definately go with a crimson trace laser if you want one.

Hmm, not meaning to hijack the thread but I was thinking of getting one of these for my G37. I was having trouble finding any reviews on this laser. What do you mean "realligned"? Now you've got me reconsidering...

Its about what they sell for. Its good if it was a PPT. otherwise It would have been better to buy a new one.

no worries, I would like to hear about this also

Not sure if they still do this, but...
The Lasermax guide rod also has a tendancy to shut off due to overheating after firing a couple of magazines.

I too recommend the Crimson Trace laser over the Lasermax.

Nope they are awesome. Just run the recommended ammo and you are good to go. Mine runs almost flawless with Remington Golden Bullets.

They won't hurt the gun. Its no different than having the 9mm upper on there.
