New member here...Hi Everyone

Iíve searched, but couldnít find anything on my particular situation.

Iím looking to buy my first pistol and get a new shotgun. Thereís a gun store where I am thatís running a sale on the pistol I want. Iím not sure how long that price will last though. So if I buy the pistol from one gun store and the shotgun from another store in the same week, will doing so cause any potential problems with background checks etc.? Iím not worried about being denied, I just donít want to do anything that will throw any potential red flags or delay anything just because Iím a bit excited/impatient :D

Thanks in advance!

Nope - no red flags. I have personally done three long guns and two handguns (one PPT the other from a store) all in the same week and I'm sure members on here have done FAR more than that. You're all set!

Sweet! Thanks for the quick reply, I really appreciate it. I was hoping that would be the case, but one never knows with CA

No problem with what you want to do, it would only be a problem if you were purchasing 2 handguns (we're limited to only 1 handgun per month (http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/index.php/Buying_and_selling_firearms_in_California#One_hand gun_per_month) unless buying from private parties).

I have it narrowed down to an SR9 and XD for my pistol. I just didn't get a good feel from the Glock or M&P, so they fell off my short list.

I bought 2 handguns two weeks ago, and the dealer sent "multi handgun purchase" form to ATF.

One handgun from the dealers inventory per 30 days. As many PPT and consignment handguns and as many long guns as your wallet permits.
