I e-mailed the office and they returned in a manner that they have no knowledge of this deal. Who do I need to specifically talk to about this?

Are there any other potential customers who can discuss buying one of these with me? If it comes disassembled, then does the mag lock have to be installed before taking it home? or can it be considered some sort or featureless rifle? Sorry to change subjects, but I want to buy one and eventually get it home.

will, the maglock should go on before you put the two halves together. I do not have personal experience, but it appears that the maglock for the CETME are a b***h to get to work. Your best bet would be to go featureless with a Kydex grip/wrap.

We do not operate a repair warranty facility , all warranty work would be handled by the original builder.

So how does the kydex grip work ? If installed the CETME rifle is good to be shipped to CA ?

So how does the kydex grip work ? If installed the CETME rifle is good to be shipped to CA ?

The kydex grip would be like the Monster Man Grip, it eliminates the pistol grip feature by wrapping around and bridgeing to the stock. The rifle would also have to be a "featureless" rifle, i.e. no flash hider, bayo lug and so forth.

bayonet lugs are not "evil features," per CaDOJ. the cetme must have it's flash hider removed, and the grip wrap installed.
this is my c93, it is ca-legal, and uses a detachable magazine.

remember the "big 5" of features- pistol grip, telescopic/folding stock, flash hider, vertical forward handgrip, and grenade/flare launcher.

Does the rifle still need to have the low cap mag ?

07-26-2010, 4:28 PM
You cannot import a magazine greater than 10rds.

the rifle is not limited to ten rounds, because it has a detachable magazine. while hi capacity magazines cannot be imported, those of us lucky enough to have the magazines prior to 2000 can use the rebuild kits to "freshen up" our old, tired magazines. folks who did not have the foresight to buy every magazine they could get their hands on in the nineties can still block the rebuild kits you send, to only accept 10 rounds. the only issue i see with your deal, is that many ffl's would soil their undershorts if they received all the pieces of these rifles in one box. split shipments are critical to these types of featureless builds, as many dealers are willing to dros barreled actions, but not many are willing to hand a customer all the pieces necessary to build an "assault rifle."

if the grip wrap and "muzzle brake" are installed at your establishment, then a transfer of the complete firearm could be handled by our local ffl, but it may be a stretch to find one willing... ymmv.

it is my personal opinion that a split shipment would be the most hassle-free method for all parties. but if that doesnt work for you all, then there is probably another way around it.
