Up for sale is a Springfield Armory M1A which to the best of my knowledge is a national match. It has the national match hooded rear sight, but I don't see "NM" stamped on the barrel so I'm not completely sure (Any M1A experts out there feel free to chime in). According to my research it is mid-80's vintage; the serial number is in the 038xxx range. I bought this used a couple of years ago. The previous owner put a several hundred rounds through it (unsure of actual round count). The previous owner maintained it very well. I have not fired it myself. The rifle has some scratches on the gas cylinder block from having a bipod mounted on it. The rifle comes with a leather sling, but no magazine, case, or paperwork.

FTF transactions for cash only. The only trade I might consider is a partial trade for a Ruger LCR. Buyer to pay all transfer fees. Would like to do the transfer at Oak Tree Gun Club in Santa Clarita or Gun World in Burbank. Feel free to PM or email me with any questions. I get my email sfandkc@aol.com on my Blackberry.

I think its a Super Match. Wow.

FYI, we can meet tomorrow. also, this is not a NM if the barrel is not marked so..doesn't look thick enough either. no worries, wanted a GI pencil profile anyhow.

I think its a Super Match. Wow.

Not Super Match, not even National Match (not bedded) or Loaded (no NM barrel). Appears to be a Standard M1A with a hooded rear aperature installed. Still a fair price given the number of rounds fired as M1A's of this vintage usually have a substantial number of GI parts unlike current production.

is today deal day?

Nice - has a TRW bolt. This could very well be a National Match BTW - it looks like it's glass-bedded in the blurry photo of the rifle's heel. You can confirm by calling Springfield and they can check what the receiver left the factory as. A great pickup nonetheless.

If it was super match....

Definitely 1986-7 production. Looks like TRW bolt. I'll let you guys know tomorrow after closer inspection.
