Is the Stock CA legal?

Yes the stock is Caifornia legal.

CaDOJ defines a pistol grip as...
A grip that allows for a pistol style grasp in which the web of the trigger hand (between the thumb and index finger) can be placed below the top of the exposed portion of the trigger while firing.

You can see in the above picture that it would be impossible to get the web of your trigger hand lower than the top of the trigger with this stock.

check out ARMS USA in Orange County if you wanna take a look at one. I stopped by yesterday and I saw it. Looked pretty cool but I didn't get to handle it and take a closer look at it.

The one that I saw was on a Socom...

Okay is it just me that thinks it's pretty Fugly????

One of the reasons I like the M-14s were the clean lines. This looks like a Borg rifle.

Does anyone know who makes the stock? Also, will it fit a Kreiger heavy barrel? Please let us know. I want one. Here are some pics of another stock.

Tony does really good work. They are backordered for a few months. I think the stocks require bedding...

One of the reasons I like the M-14s were the clean lines. This looks like a Borg rifle.+1! This stock may be functional, but it sure is fugly! But the beauty is in the eye of the beholder ...

I would never put my M14 through the trauma of having to wear that thing to the range.

The stock reminds of the AI ACIS stock for Remingtons...

I think the JAE100 stock looks neat, but I think one of the posts mentioned some difficulty in fitting a Smith scope mount with the stock. I've looked at the pics also, and I pretty sure the forend is too wide for my KAC M14 RAS to fit...

The stock does not require bedding and it has an interesting way of mounting the trigger group to the stock. The staff assured me that it is a perfect match for the Super Match that I am putting in it. they also sent me a picture of the SOCOM in it. I'll try it first with the Super Match, my Sadlak Titanium mount and 6-24x50 IOR Valdad scope and see how it shoots. The rifle doesn't attach to the actual stock so to speak it sits in an aluminum block chassis that adjusts to the different types of barrels and receivers.

If my Super Match doesn't like it I will see how it behaves with my SOCOM II. Might as well try something different. I also understand they are making some mods to it so that the Smith mount etc will fit.

I realize it is not everyone's bag of potatos and that is fine I like it and I have a project in mind for it with the SM. I also ordered a GG&G heavy duty swivle tactical bipod for it so hopefully with will be a nice shooter. Apparently it comes with multiple cheek piece and butt plate spacers so the shooter can really dial in the right fit. With the Sadlak mount I'll be able to use both the iron sights and scope by just pulling off the cheek piece.

Anyhow I am pretty excited about trying it out hopefully it works well and provides a nice stable shooting platform.

If folks are interested I'll provide picts and a report once it is up and running.
