I looked and didn't see it posted anywhere but thought many here would find it interesting. Long story short another politician needs a gun while we don't deserve them.

Just out of curiosity, how do you know that politician is anti-gun? There is nothing hypocritical about him having a gun for self-defense if he isn't an anti-gunner, and SC is shall-issue so it isn't a special privilege.

Actually he's from NC but that's of little consiquence. His Pro-Gun Control
record seems pretty well documented.

"The Senator, who has made a career of being against guns for you and me, didn't hesitate to defend himself with his own gun when he believed he was in immediate danger, and was the victim of a crime against himself. "

"State prosecutors announced this month they plan to seek an assault charge against the 75-year-old after a grand jury found probable cause he acted criminally when he shot a former law client."

That Democrat is A rated by the NRA. The cynic in me wants to point to plenty of cases where the NRA has A rated politicians that were never friends of RKBA, but the NRA does seem to get it right more often than not.

For what it's worth...

You posted a link to a blog entry with no primary data and no references to primary data indicating any pro or anti-RKBA bias of any kind. That does not support your claim of "well documented".

I can't post a link to the NRA rating that I mentioned since the historical database is members only, but any member should be able to find it pretty fast (he was last rated in 2008).

I never heard of this state senator before reading this thread, but before we all go off the handle about another hypocritical politician, I'm going to wait until there's a few documented facts made available.

Good point, but what I found most interesting is the second link, where they point out that State prosecutors are seeking charges against him and that the person he shot is a former client. If anyone has more concrete facts I'd love to see them. While I only lived in NC while stationed at Ft. Bragg, I'm very familiar with hypocrisy being a way of life with some people down there. Not that that doesn't happen here and other places as well.

Dunno how much this helps. http://grnc.org/remember_november/nc_senate_race.htm

How many damn times is this non-story going to be reposted (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=227539)?
