Did anyone bring in the 6.8 mm deer lower receiver in the PRK? I would like to acquire one.

Dude, if you're worrying about what's written on the receiver at this late date, you're unclear on the concept.

If you need a legal off-list receiver you should be trying to get ANY receiver that you can, regardless of markings.

For the life of me I can't understand why manufacturers mark receivers with 6.8 or .223 or whatever.
What lower receiver has anything to do with caliber?

Wouldn't it be nice if we actually knew how much time we had for importation....I would get one of these

Thats a good one Hopi!!!

Bill,
Thanks for the reply. I understand that the markings has no significant function on what caliber to use. Just wanted to have a rifle that marks what upper and caliber I am using it for. Call me anal or picky.... Just want what I want...:D

PM me. I have one I might trade for another brand or just sell.

hopi, I think they use already listed stuff for the custom engravings.

I think they are dpms forgings, but the manufacturer is listed as "tom sawyer manu..". I assume this would be like the stag/cmt/colt thing. However, because it would be a custom model name, i doubt it would fall under Harrott protections. Oh well.

Yup!

Don't mess around with custom make/model combos. Best if particular make/model of receiver is sold to a variety of folks outside California as well - "in general trade circulation", so to speak.

Instead of the custom engraving on an AR, maybe I will buy a Keltec su-16CA and melt something similar into the receiver with a hot match?!:)
