View Full Version : Why all the FUD re: shipping ammo to Orange County?

I've been browsing some ammo on gunbroker and was a little shocked at how many vendors say they won't ship to Orange County, CA. I googled orange county ammo restrictions and found that it's not just small vendors, but that it seems a lot of the larger online resellers are spreading this FUD. Any idea where it came from or if there's anything that can be done to correct it?

Some examples:
Able's (http://www.ableammo.com/catalog/restrictions.php)
Ammunition2Go (http://www.ammunition2go.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=16&Itemid=38)
Southern Ammo (http://www.southernammo.com/ordering_information/ordering_info.htm)

It seems like they are all just copying and pasting the same stupid FUD!!!

There is an "Orange County" on the east coast... I believe New York... that has similar restrictions as LA City.

Some guys have reported that their sales have gone through if they use the wrong zip code....
Put in their proper address and city, but use the zip code from Chino, Corona, or some other area in SBDO or Riverside county.

I have heard people complaining about this for years. I have heard the same reasoning as Cokebottle.

if they won't sell to where i live and the laws state that it is legal to ship to my address i will not buy from them.
