That was the oddest thing I've seen in a while. It's definitely going on my Facebook.

I don't know who did this version, basically changed the words, but the original was done by OneRepublic and a remix by Timbaland.

The original verses:

I'm holding on your rope
Got me ten feet off the ground
And I'm hearing what you say
But I just can't make a sound
You tell me that you need me
Then you go and cut me down
But wait...
You tell me that you're sorry
Didn't think I'd turn around and say..

That it's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late

I'd take another chance, take a fall, take a shot for you
And I need you like a heart needs a beat
(But that's nothing new)
Yeah yeah

I loved you with a fire red, now it's turning blue
And you say
Sorry like the Angel Heaven let me think was you,
But I'm afraid

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late
Woahooo woah

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, yeah
I said it's too late to apologize, yeah

I'm holding on your rope
Got me ten feet off the ground...

UH, WTF?!

I started to post this to my FB when I saw this caption come up with the video URL:

When people who love politics, pop culture and filmmaking are asked to humanize the sentiment of the founders in writing the declaration, we sometimes get carried away. This parody is a bit of a departure ...

This is a PARODY? Am I reading too much into that word, or are we misreading the intent of this video?

Nice vid. Definitely plays into the current political tensions in our country. Perhaps we should begin drafting a "Declaration of Reconstruction"!

Having read some of his less well-known works, I'm pretty sure that Benjamin Franklin would have been a head-banger if they had electric guitars back then.

They could be calling it a parody to avoid getting sued.

Or maybe it's a parody of lame rock bands that don't have awesome subject matter for their songs like this one. :whistling:

Good vid, Don!

I really like this one too, even though my hippie (EX) friend called it "propaganda!"

Of course, she though Avatar was a good movie. . .
