Anyone thinking of using a Bob Sled for their fixed magazine instead of a ten rounder? http://www.dctechs.com/obspage.htm
highpower shooters use it during standing for easy single round loading.
Part of me doesn't like the thought of constantly breaking open the action to load the ten rounders. Fears of wear and tear on a priceless lower :) .

Tikka T3 Tatical
20" barrel.. i think it's a heavy barrel, but can't remember for sure
adjustable cheekpiece
detachable mag
available in .223 and .308
picatinny rail
guaranteed to shoot under 1" @ 100yd out the box
msrp of about $1400 (scope, bipod, and muzzle brake not included)

you can also get the Tikka T3 varmint, which doesn't have the picatinny rail, and does not have an adjustable cheekpiece, but will cost you less than $800. Still guaranteed to shoot less than 1" @ 100yd.

That is disappointing; I'd expect a LOT better than 1MOA for a $1400 rifle.

Heck, most $700 Rem 700P's shoot that good out of the box!

Like HS Precision, for example...

What are you talking about? Remington's site doesn't say its discontinued!

Just to be clear, the P and PSS are the exact same rifle, just different names.

Whaddya mean they don't make the PSS?

It's in Remington's LE catalog. And I saw a few on the rack at Trader's.

actually, all tikka rifles have the same guarantee and they start off at under $700 msrp. and i don't think remington 700's include the target they used to show it will shoot under 1".

the hs precision website i looked at had ALL their rifles priced over $2000. what kind of comparison is that?
1" at 100yd for under $700, or 1/2" at 100yd for over $2000
