So I'm assembling my AR LPK and I have a question regarding how the safety selector is supposed to work.

Stag Lower
RRA two stage trigger LPK
No upper installed.

After assembling everything, the safety selector rotates between fire and safe fine when the hammer is cocked back.

When the hammer is forward against the bolt release lever, the safety selector won't rotate out of the fire position.

Is this propper for the stage of the build that I'm at? Hopefully this isn't a dumb question.

Thanks for any help.

I'll answer your next question:
Yes, the spring is supposed to make that sound.
Get used to it.
You will know when the mag is empty because the sound is different.

I remember the first time I shot an AR. I was like "WTF was that?!?!". Freaked me out. Marine buddy just laughed at me and told me to pull my skirt back up and shoot.:D
