I did the ITTS tactical carbine class this weekend... such a great class...one thing about shooting from so many varied positions is I quickly came to realize that stuffing mags in pockets doesn't quite cut it... some guys had some kydex mag holders..some MOLLE and some mounted on their tactical belts. I been googling for this and except for a bladetech and one on brownells, I cant find any hard-shell type AR mag holders..I prefer belt mounted. Does anyone here know where to get these or some other brand names?

Although I haven't bought them myself yet, I've heard great things about ITW's Fast Mag system. Last I checked Tactical Tailor and Botach both carry them, although Botach only has the 2nd gen (up to 3rd Gen now)

Check out CMMG/Bladetech pouches. Work well but are bulky. http://cmmginc.secure-mall.com/shop/?cart=2174279&cat=152&

Raven concealment, although pricey, work well, are light, streamline, and fast. http://www.ravenconcealment.com/products/magazine-carriers.html

I run the BAE system Eclipse pouches. They work well but need to be borken in if you want to access a mag quickly. They're a bit more versatile than other pouches as the have molle straps and can be put on anything with molle webbing. https://www.entrygear.com/product.asp?id=3081

I've used several different set ups. I liked the Bladetechs but they were bulky and took a lot of room up on the belt. The Eclipse ones work great but require a bit more of a pull to overcome the resistance than the Bladtech pouches. I haven't used the Raven Concealment pouches yet but have heard lots of good things about them.

My knees ache just watching that turkey. When he turns 35 he'll be in line for knee replacement surgery. Until then, it's good to be young and foolish!
