Well from some of the recent posts I know I'm not the only one who shoots at the Yolo Sportsman's Association. I also know I'm not the only there who's building up CA Legal .223 Self Loading Rifles :D! We should plan a .223 Shoot and Grill there sometime. Please reply to this threat if you're interested and lets start talking about some possible dates that we could do this.

I'm game. I went to the Sportsman's range for the first time this weekend. I didn't really like the fact that there was no designated RO but the fact that it's only 10 mins away from my place makes up for that :). I wasn't planning on building a fixed mag rifle (was gunna wait), but if we are having a shoot-n-q I'll have a .223 rifle ready to go. What kind of time frame are we looking at? One month out?

Shopkeeper, I just read your other post in the SKS thread and am surprised to hear that you'll be locked and loaded with a self loading .223 next weekend! I'll try gathering all my pennies together and ordering a RRA or Stag upper either this week or next.

Count me in, my membership expires at the end of the month, so I will have to renew but it is cheap enough.

I am up for it, Not that far from Redding. I will have at least three superiordeerhead rifles done in a month.

I'm trying my hardest to get one ready for this next weekend but we'll probably plan it at least 2 or 3 weeks from now. Gotta give everyone plenty of time to get built up, and more importantly to plan on being there. For anyone out there still trying to peice together a rifle just go to www.del-ton.com . Their prices on their complete 16" and 20" rifle kits are fantastic and they even have little sliders there for your to completely customize your kit. After you choose what you want, they pre-build and test fire your upper prior to shipping.

I won't have my AR assembled anytime soon, but I'll bring out the SKS, the Mauser, and Nagant...you know, real men's calibers :D

I think my first build is going to be a 20in A2 type rifle. I'm gunna call around and see who has them in stock so I can get it by Friday. What type of fixed mag kit are you guys going with?

Well guys lets get a date going so we can BBQ and shoot. What about the last weekend of January (28-29)? Even if you don't have an AR built by then come anyway. Will one of those dates work for everyone?

Ok I'm bringing this back from the dead. Who's down for a Calguns bbq and shoot the 28th?

I'll be going to the range this weekend to try out my self loading .223 rifle but will go again on the 28th if we have a meet. Can I look forward to seeing anyone from calguns there this weekend??

Seeing as I've finally fulfilled my reciever lust I'll probably be there this weekend on the 21st or 22nd. I will likely be there next weekend as well. I've still got a fairly significant amount of 9mm and 7.62mm NATO to punch some holes through targets. Gonna try to get a build done before the 28th... I would have had a rifle built by now but I just kept buying more lowers :D!

I would love to go, and have been planning on it, but I won't have a CA legal 223 to bring. The money isn't there for it yet. As it stands, I wouldn't mind coming out to see what everyone has been busy making.

Wump, it looks like everyones on for the 28th still. I believe we should have a few people with CA legal rifles by that time.

Shopkeep, I'll see you there this Saturday. So that I can recognize you, what kinds of guns will you be shooting. I'll be the young guy with a fixed mag AR and an SKS or two.

You should try and get the sigforum guys to show up on the 28th as well. Who is bringing the BBQ? Locals? Food assignments?

I don't have a grill, but I'll take some chicken or something if we can get a solid list of guys/ ladies who are going on the 28th.
