This is Centurion Arms Free Float Rail System, build in house by the good people there.

The extruded rail system weights ion at a mere 8.5oz and it is onle of the lightest and one of the more rigid rail on the market with a price that can not be beat....

This is NOT a scientific test, but interesting none the less......

After a 210 rounds full auto dump, I stood on the forward grip to see if I can make the rail itself rotate off its centering tabs. you can actually see the VFG start to bend after I started to apply pressure to it.

The production rail will have

1. Laser engrave T-Marks
2. KAC panel cut out
3. 10 and 12 inch available soon with 9 inch coming on later. also rail with front sight cut outs.
4. more lightning cuts to keep the weight lower
5. a version that do not require the removal of front handguard cap
6. build in sling swivel
7. self locking steel inserts for all the screws.

Is there enought room for a piston under that rail?

It's extruded, so it ought to be damned cheap. I wouldn't be surprised if it's in the <$100 range...
